Description
Alfa is an endemic plant that grows naturally in the arid plains of central Tunisia. The craftswomen, grouped together in cooperatives, pick the sprigs to the sound of traditional songs. Using a thread and a large needle, they make this large woven tray from plant fibres into a snail.
The different shades that enhance this object are obtained using natural henna and turmeric dyes. This wide tray has two handles for practicality and functionality. It’s ideal for serving your guests when it’s time for tea or an aperitif. It has the advantage of being lightweight. This material is water-resistant and can be easily cleaned with a sponge or cloth.
